This 1 day course  meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive for first aiders working, in low-risk environments and is part of the Emergency First aid at Work programme e.g., office, shops, residential care setting etc.

The course covers those aspects of First Aid which are required in emergency situations and you will be trained in a range of first aid skills such as:

• Act safely and effectively when an accident or emergency occurs.
• Treatment and priorities of care for an unconscious patient.
• Recognise and treat a person in seizure.
• Recognition of cardiac arrest and delivery of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Able to recognise and safely treat a patient who is choking.
• Able to safely and promptly treat a patient who is bleeding.
• Keep simple records following an accident at work.
